Beef Lasagna
Layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and bubbling mozzarella — the ultimate Italian bake.

Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb Italian sausage (removed from casing)
- 3 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 lb fresh mozzarella (shredded)
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 3 clove garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup fresh basil (chopped)
- 1 tsp salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook lasagna noodles, drain, and lay flat on an oiled surface.

Brown beef and sausage with garlic. Drain fat, stir in marinara. Simmer 10 minutes.

Mix ricotta with egg, half the Parmesan, basil, salt, and pepper.

In a 9x13 dish, layer: 1/2 cup meat sauce, 3 noodles, 1/3 ricotta, 1/3 meat sauce, 1/3 mozzarella. Repeat twice.

Top with remaining noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.

Cover with foil and bake 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes until bubbly. Rest 15 minutes before serving.
