  • 2 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 onion (finely diced)
  • 3 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup (divided)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

How to Make It

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes.

    In a large bowl, combine beef, soaked breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, 1/4 cup ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined — do not overmix.

    Shape into a loaf on a rimmed baking sheet or press into a 9x5 loaf pan.

    Mix remaining 1/4 cup ketchup with brown sugar and vinegar. Spread over the top.

    Bake 55-65 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
