- 2 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter (softened)
- 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp red food coloring
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 3 cup powdered sugar
How to Make It

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 9" round pans.

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Mix cocoa with food coloring and add to batter.

Alternately add buttermilk and flour. Stir baking soda into vinegar; fold into batter.

Divide between pans. Bake 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

Beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until fluffy.

Frost between layers and all over the outside. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
